Just got a call from a lady who would like the apt she is renting inspected. She has several issues the landlord is ignoring. I told her to call the local code enforcement office. she is disabled and doesn't want to get kicked out. Has anyone ran into this before?? I would like to give her the proper info as how to move forward. Thanks

Is stucco without expansion/control joints considered a true deficiency?

Does anyone out there know of a good test kit for testing meth residue in residential homes? Also, is there any kind of info that I need to look over before doing a meth test for a client?

I was recently inspecting a garage of a 40 year old home. The sill plate was visible. It did not appear to be press treated lumber, but it didn't seem to be in bad shape either. Did they use to use pine tar lumber on sill plates against concrete?

Inspected a home today, Cuttler Hammer panel and breakers. Several double taps under flat screw heads. My question is does the Cuttler Hammer breakers that allow 2 wires have the same butterfly fastener as the Square D QO breakers? The breakers are Cuttler Hammer CC. Thanks , Stan

Okay fine,the favor is that am going to give you my card to charge the sum of $2000 you will deduct the sum of $500 as inspection service deposit and send the remaining $1500 to the former house owner for me via western union money transfer because the former house owner want to accept cash for the remaining balance and you can locate a western union money transfer outlet nearest your place.....i want you to know that they will send the key to you and you can go there for the inspection service then can you give me your FULL NAME, OFFICE ADDRESS, CELL PHONE NUMBER for the house owner to send the house keys to your office immediately they receive their balance.

They can make the key to the house available for you to write the estimate inspection service and once you the inspection service done you can e-mail the report because i want to know the work to be done in the house before my family move inside the house,am asking for this favor due to my disability and am at the hospital to undergo surgery in 1 week time that why am asking for the favor.

I’m scheduled to do my first commercial inspection tomorrow and I have no idea what I’m getting into. Besides really big what else is different? I don’t know much about the property other than it is 6000 Sq Ft and sounds like a strip mall. She said there are lots of offices… She asked what it would cost and I had no idea… I said I had to look at it first… Any advice would be great. Do I have to call in other inspectors (HVAC, electricians, plumbers, ect?) or just report what I see?

After we complete our exam is there something special we need to do so the 14 hours gets recognized by the state. I thought there was a post somewhere about this a few months ago.
